8. What is advantage about WPC?
WPC is low maintenance, lightweight, and resistant to termites, water and fire.
9. How safe is WPC?
WPC is non toxic, splinter-proof, making it ideal for children.
10. What's your MOQ?
Our MOQ is 200 sqm per color per model.
11. Compared to real wood, what are the advantages of WPC?
WPC is a new type of building materials, with water resistance, corrosion resistance, long service life, UV light stability, good coloring.
And compared to solid wood, not easy to have termites, not easy to crack, cost-effective.
Its biggest advantage is to turn waste into treasure, and can recycle 100% reproduction. Also can decompose, will not cause “white pollution”, is the real green environmental protection products.
12. What's the difference between differentgeneration for the decking?
First generation decking is the most cost-effective, second and third generation decking texture looks more natural, and the color is stable, more anti-slip, because its surface has a protective layer.
13. Will color fade because of weatheringfor the outdoor decking?
Unlike real wood, our products have great color fastening performance. The color will just fade a little at the beginning of six months (1st gen), and then the color will become very stable for later application. But the 2nd and 3rd gen are more stable without color fading.

25. What kind of finish do you have for indoor products?
We have four kind of surface: normal, wood grain, brushed and embossing.
26. How do I clean the decking?
Our decking requires only occasional cleaning in order to keep the surface free of dirt and general grime. We recommend normal sweeping and cleaning of your deck at regular intervals.
27. Is your decking mould resistant?
Our decking has a fungicide added in the formula that helps to reduce the risk of mould growing within the material under normal conditions.
28. Can I place rugs on my deck?
Most area rugs aren’t a problem with decking, but we do recommend cleaning underneath them regularly. In rare cases, rugs made of plastic or viscose materials may bleed, drawing colorant out of the decking or making them difficult to remove. Always allow your decking to fully dry before fitting a rug into place.
29. Can I build a firepit on my deck?
Wood or gas fire pits should not be placed on top of decking. However, gas fire pits may be installed beside or between deck boards with a protective wall made of stone or other fire-resistant material used for insulation.
30. How does saltwater affect Greenzone products?
Saltwater climates are an ideal application for Greenzone products because saltwater will have no ill effects. However, we do not recommend submerging boards into saltwater. Please verify that all decking fasteners to be used are applicable to a saltwater environment.
31. Why buy composite timber (WPC) in place of timber?
Composite timber offers a low maintenance alternative to timber with no oiling or staining required and the option of a concealed fix. Unlike most timbers, using composite timber ensures that there are no splinters, sap or tannins runs, no rotting and it is also white ant/termite resistant.
32. Can it be used indoors?
Yes. The durability and versatility of WPC decking makes it one of the few outdoor materials that can be used inside. However, there would need to be a solid base for it to sit on, which is harder to achieve indoors than it is outside.
33. Can composite decking be put directly on the ground?
No. Our decking cannot be laid over an existing surface – instead, we need to lay a sub-surface for the composite to sit on, ensuring maximum results.
34. Can you use normal wood working tools?
Yes, no specialist composite material equipment is required, you can even saw it by hand. You can use the same tools and equipment as you would on wood.
35. If WPC is made from recycled materials ,why is it more expensive than wood?
While most of the raw materials used in making WPC are recycled, these materials are carefully processed to ensure the highest level of quality and performance. The end result is decking that performs better than wood, lowering your cost over time through lesser maintenance.
36. Does WPC fade or change color?
How well your deck endures Mother Nature depends upon what type of WPC you have. Early generation composite decks (1ST generation) do not have the high-performance shell with enhanced fade, stain and mold resistance. As such, these traditional composites will fade naturally over time, achieving their weathered color after 12-16 weeks. Newer generation high-performance composites(2nd and 3rd generation) have the protective shell technology that provides superior fade and stain resistance.
37. Can you rip a wpc board?
WPC products should not be ripped to reduce thickness, but can be ripped to reduce width. As long as the board can still be installed per the installation instructions, the warranty will be valid. Please use care when fastening ripped boards, as pre-drilling may be necessary.
38. Can WPC be placed over a solid surface?
WPC can only be installed over a solid surface when using a sleeper system; see the sleeper system guidelines in our Installation Guide.
39. Can I use a non-recommended fasterner to install Greenzoen Decking?
Greenzone does not endorse the use of any non-recommended fastener. If any condition occurs which is attributable to the use of a non-recommended fastener, such conditions would not be covered under the Greenzone Limited Warranty. Please see our Installation Guide for more information.
40. Can I use rock salt to melt ice on my decking?
Calcium chloride or rock salt can be used to melt ice and snow on decking. Care should be taken to rinse off when the weather makes this practical. Use plastic shovels (never metal) to remove snow and ice. A metal shovel can possibly chip the decking surface and void the warranty.
41. Can you use it for load bearing applications (i.e structural)?
Same as you would not use certain types of wood, it is not recommended to use composite decking boards in structural applications.
42. Can you bend WPC decking?
It can be heated up and bent, but this is a job best left to a professional installer or done at the factory during the production process.
43. How does the price of deck compare with timber decking?
While the initial cost to build a pine or hardwood deck may be lower, the value of a deck truly comes into its own over the longer term, easy to install and low maintenance and significant cost and time savings.
44. How safe is WPC?
WPC is non toxic, splinter-proof, making it ideal for children and bare feet!
45. Will chlorine or other swimming pool chemicals damage decking?
While no formal testing has been done, we have not seen or heard of any ill effects from standard pool chemicals.
46. How do varying weather conditions affect decking during install?
Decking performs well in varying weather conditions. During installation, it will contract only slightly in cold weather. In hot weather it expands. We recommend that the material is on the job site 48 hours prior to installation to acclimate. Follow the installation instructions spacing guidelines to ensure proper room for expansion and contraction.
47. Can I use a nail gun to install Composite Decking?
We do not recommend using nails or a nailer when installing composite Decking. The material is very dense and getting nails to penetrate to a proper depth without bending can be a challenge. A bigger issue concerns the fastening on the end of the boards. We recommend that all holes be predrilled to help reduce mushrooming. Also, it is necessary to predrill the end of the boards to avoid splitting. When using nails or a nailer the concern is that the ends would not be predrilled and possibly lead to cracking and splitting.
48. Is static electricity an issue with Composite Decking?
While all synthetic decking can be subject to static electricity, static on new composite decking to the point of getting a shock is rare. There is no chemical means to reduce static on a deck. As time passes, exposure to the weather will reduce the likelihood that one will experience a static discharge.
49. Can I amend/add to my decking order once I have placed it?
Yes you can however please note this may slow the delivery process down. Delivery estimates are from the most recent order/amendment date.
50. Why do you recommend 300mm centres?
This is the joist spacing that we test the board to. It’s very common for composite decking to be installed at closer centres than of timber.
